Determining the best food processor on the market will ultimately depend on your personal needs.
Preparing food can be difficult at the best of times as well as somewhat time consuming. Whether you are chopping vegetables, fruits or grinding herbs and spices a food processor can save you hours of time during the preparation process.
They can also broaden your horizons as to what you are capable of cooking in the kitchen. Obviously this will in turn impress your dinner guests at your next dinner party!
The best food processor will come with a large mixing bowl, several attachments such as blades and disks to chop, grind or mix your food items. All depending on the model you purchase a processor is capable of such tasks as shredding, pureeing and kneading dough. Believe me preparing food becomes much easier and certainly a lot more fun than standing in one spot for hours at a time chopping, dicing and so forth with a standard kitchen knife!
If you are on the look out for the best food processor then there are three basic aspects in particular that you need to consider as follows:
Power
Capacity
Versatility
And you will also need to think about the style of the processor.
Power
You can purchase a kitchen processor from a professional series. However do bear in mind that these models are also ideal for the home cook who requires large batches of food. And they are also suited for a professional chef as well as a caterer. What you will generally find from any manufacturer is that these models will have 750 watts of power which is useful for more powerful jobs such as making bread dough.
Capacity
Generally you will find the most common capacity of a standard processor work bowl is 7,9 and 11 cups. You can also purchase 14 to 20 cup models. Your main thought to consider in any case is the amount of food you will be preparing with your processor. For example 9 to 11 cup processors are quite useful for making large batches of soups or sauces.
Versatility
The versatility of processors are amazing. Even the simplest of models come with a number of attachments which can be used to slice one food item then grate or puree another in a matter of seconds!
You can also find appliances that have the ability to blend as well as process foods. These models may cost slightly more than a standard food processor. If you are on a strict budget then you are best to shop online for some fantastic deals.
Ideally the best food processor will depend on your personal requirements and typically the needs of your family as well as your budget.

Maytag Dishwashers Review
By Steve Mathews
Maytag is a very popular name when it comes to dishwashers. In fact Maytag is the second most searched for brand after Bosch. Maytag is a Whirlpool company which means that you get fairly good quality machines and you get them very cheap too. Most people prefer the Maytag simply because at around $500 you get an integrated food disposal system, something that the European manufacturers do not offer.
Maytag offers 9 different models of dishwashers including a drawer model. This model is however not very preferred because it does not give you too many options and costs nearly $1500 in the bargain. Their cheaper models offer very good value for money and each offers just a little more extra features than the previous one at a slight increase in cost. For example their basic model costs only $440 and comes with a plastic drum and a 12 place setting. It also has an integrated food disposal system, and comes with a stainless steel casing on the outside. You get 5 wash cycles but no adjustable racks.
If however you pay $650 you get the same model with a stainless steel drum. There are a couple of other models in between at $550 that give you the same plastic drum but with more features like wash cycles but you still do not get a fully adjustable rack unless you pay $950.
The only problem is that at this price you get Bosch dishwashers that give you even more features like the bacteria free rinse and a really quiet machine. Plus of course comes the reliability and Maytag just does not stand in the same league.
Most people therefore go with the cheaper option and end up feeling dissatisfied because a plastic drum always causes problems in the long run. They are just as effective as a stainless steel drum initially but most reviews from owners who have had the machine for two years or more say that the latch assembly just conks off and you will have to pay $250 to get it repaired.
Maytag is a very old and respected brand but is not one that you should be looking at if you want long term reliability. Of course their stainless steel drum versions are very good, but then at the price that they sell, you can get much better ones with more features.

Guide to Washing Stuffed Toys in a Washing Machine
Every child has a large set of stuffed toys which they hold near to their heart! Each special occasion, like birthday adds to their collection. The appealing toys are appreciated even by elders and decorate our home. At the same time, they are often neglected and left unclean which causes many health problems.
Stuffed toys and stuffed animals collect dust and dirt fast. Bacteria and germs flourish on these favourite toys of children. When we consider the fact that our little ones play with these toys every day, we should put more attention to keeping them clean and germ free. We often find parents spot cleaning stuffed toys while others vacuum clean them to remove dust and dirt. However, washing machines have proven to be a better way to thoroughly clean the stuffed toys.
Luckily, most of the toys can be washed in the washer machine, today. However, battery operated toys and other toys with special instructions to be washed should not be put in the washer machines for cleaning. Toys meant to be dry-cleaned should be done so without doubt. Other wise, the toy will get destroyed. This content offers tips for cleaning toys made of fabric and fur that are washable.
Spot clean the toys with mild detergent if they have stains on it before putting them in to the washer machine. Giving the stained spots some wash is highly effective. The toy should be placed inside a fine wash protector and then dumped into the washing machine. It protects the toy from lint formation.
Delicate wash protector usually comes with a washing machine. In case, you do not have one you can use your pillow case as an alternative. In this way, your toy as well as your pillow case gets washed! The toy should be washed using the gentle cycle. Use mild detergent only. Using the delicate cycle and the smallest spin speed, wash the toy.
If the toy has a stink you can put some baking soda in to the bag or sprinkle it on the toy before placing it inside the washer. When the rinsing cycle is over, put in fabric conditioner so that the toy gets softened up and fluffy once again. However, you must be careful not to wash a large stuffed toy in the washer machine.
It may not allow the machine to rotate and tumble effectively. If the toys have unfastened buttons on it, it is better not to wash it in the washer until you sew them up. There is a chance that the buttons might come off and destroy the working of the washing machine.
Now if you have a fair idea of cleaning the stuffed toys of your children you can start cleaning them without delay. It is extremely unhealthy and risky for children to play with toys accumulated with dust and germs. Our carelessness and negligence may lead to unforeseen health hazards to our precious little ones.

How to Cure a Smelly Washing Machine
By Mitch Pendry
In my time as a domestic appliance repair man, I have been asked many many times "how can I get rid of that smell from my washing machine?" - here is my PERSONAL method and reasons why your machine smells in the first place.
Why does your machine smell?
There are a couple of reasons you get a smelly washer, firstly mould and fungus - this is caused mainly by our modern liquid detergents that, although great for our clothes and much better for the environment than the old fashioned bleach based powders, they unfortunately leave a residue in the machine that bacteria just love. This bacteria eventually forms into mould and or fungus. This is most easily identified by a nasty black staining around the door seal, and I bet if you remove the dispenser draw, there will be the same black mould all over the back wall of the hole.
The second most common reason for a smelly washing machine is quite simply a clogged drain and/or pipe work. Most UK households machines are plumbed in via the under sink pipe work. The problem with this is that you are sharing the waste pipe with all that food waste and sludge that we all put down the sink, or comes out of our dishwasher. Invariably, when a washing machine has finished pumping out there will be a certain amount of water that will run back into the waste pipe. This water running back into the waste pipe can bring food waste with it and so you have, animal fat, vegetable matter, pasta - you name it, it could be lying in your pipes going mouldy and causing a nasty odour that finds it way back into your home.
My personal cure.
You need to do a "maintenance wash". This means run the machine at its highest temperature wash, with no clothes in the machine - in effect "boiling" the insides of the machine. I personally put a couple of handfuls of old fashioned washing soda into the drum every time I do maintenance wash just to help it along and leave it smelling fresh. Take a look at your plumbing and see if you can install a vertical "stand" for the machine waste to loop in to - this way its impossible for the food waste to get back into the machine or associated pipe work. Finally, try scrubbing the door seal with a non metallic scourer, if the mould has taken a good hold then you will probably need the seal replacing. The mould behind the dispenser will normally scrub off as the plastic does not let the mould cling as much as the rubber seal.
So there it is, do a regular maintenance wash with soda crystals for an odour free machine.

Choosing a Small Flat Screen TV With DVD
By Addie Smith
As technology in general, and the electronics market in particular, becomes more and more advanced, consumers benefit from lower prices and more sophisticated equipment. Just 20 years ago, televisions were huge and expensive, VHS players were the rage, and DVD players were unheard of. Ten years ago, TV's were beginning to become more streamlined DVD's had made their debut and prices were beginning to drop. Today, tweens carry iphones in their pocket capable of streaming videos and flat screen TVs can be found in almost every home.
With the increasing affordability of flat screen TV's, one hot selling item is the TV and DVD combo unit. The smaller TV's are perfect for bedrooms, offices, workout rooms and kitchens. Most of the units range from 19", the size of a computer monitor, and up.
Practically every television manufacturer offers a small TV/DVD combo in their product line. Not only can these TV's play DVD's, but most will also play CD's and DVD/RW's. Additional inputs are typically available allowing video playback from video cameras or picture slideshows from a digital camera through a USB port connection.
The combination units can be found in both 720p and 1080p screen resolutions. The higher 1080p resolution typically is not available in a model that is under 24 inches.
While not always noted in the product specifications, one factor that should be taken into consideration when deciding on which model to buy is whether or not the display screen can be turned, adjusted or tilted. One thing about LCD screens is that, depending on the brand, the images on the screen can not be clearly viewed from an angle. The viewer needs to be looking at the screen pretty much straight on.
This may be an issue depending on where you are planning on using the TV. If you are placing the television on a kitchen countertop and want to watch it as you are moving around the kitchen, you will probably need to angle the screen so you can see it clearly. If it is being used for a bedroom and is mounted on a wall or set on a dresser and want to watch it from bed, you will most likely need to tilt it down. Buying a model that does not tilt will cause a problem.
There are a plethora of small flat panel TVs on the market that have an integrated DVD player. In order to choose the one that will best fit your needs, make a list of your requirements before going shopping.
